Park
City was incorporated in 1884 after a two decade
long silver rush. It continued to prosper as a mining
town until the mines shut down in 1949. Nine years
later, United Park City mines decided to check out
the possibility to tuning it's land into a ski area
hence the birth of Treasure Mountain Resort, now
known as Park City Mountain Resort.
In present day, Park City has a unique blend of
it's past history and new prospects. Park City has
64 buildings that are listed on the National Register
of Historic Places, many of which are located on
the town's famous Main Street. |
